He also expressed his wish for this water to be used after his passing. Because of this, the well holds special spiritual value for Muslims. “Ali ibn Abu Talib (R.A) as saying, the Prophet (PBUH) said: When I die, wash me with seven waterskins from Al-Ghars Well.
