Capacity and Infrastructure

King Khalid University Hospital’s capacity increased to 1,200 beds following the hospital’s expansion in 2016. The renovated building consists of eight floors, including two basements occupied by the oncology treatment center, a ground floor, and five upper floors.

Clearly, this expansion reflects a significant upgrade in the hospital’s ability to serve a larger patient population. The total area of the expansion project is 80,000 m².

The hospital’s facilities include:

  • 32 surgery rooms, including 2 combined rooms: one for neurosurgery with an MRI machine and another for vascular surgery with a CT scan machine, plus 32 recovery beds.
