King Saud University Medical City (KSUMC) is a tertiary care academic medical center with decades of experience in multi-facility and multi-disciplinary administration. It sits at the heart of Riyadh’s healthcare system and serves patients from across Saudi Arabia.

The medical city includes more than 1,300 full-time physicians, 853 residents and fellows, and approximately 2,072 allied health personnel. Together, they provide care to more than 1,229,628 outpatients, admit 45,966 patients, and perform around 14,231 procedures every year.

Clearly, KSUMC is not just a hospital. It combines patient care, medical education, and research under one roof, making it one of the most complete academic health systems in the Kingdom.

The Three Hospitals of KSUMC

KSUMC operates three major hospitals in Riyadh: King Khaled University Hospital, King Abdulaziz University Hospital, and Dental University Hospital. Each hospital serves a specific and important role.

King Khalid University Hospital (KKUH)

KKUH is a multi-disciplinary facility that provides primary, secondary, and tertiary care to its patients. It includes a designated outpatient and inpatient facility, state-of-the-art surgical services, a fully equipped laboratory, radiology services, and a pharmacy.

This is an 850-bed facility with all general and subspecialty medical services. It contains more than 20 operating rooms and a fully equipped and staffed laboratory, radiology, and pharmacy services in addition to all other supporting services.

King Abdulaziz University Hospital (KAUH)

King Abdulaziz University Hospital is the first teaching hospital in Saudi Arabia to combine the distinct clinical disciplines of ophthalmology and ENT. It is staffed by consultants, physicians, and technicians with best-in-class training and expertise, utilizing the finest technological and infrastructural resources in the Kingdom.

Moreover, it offers primary, secondary, and tertiary care in both specialties, making it a go-to referral center for eye and ear, nose, and throat conditions.

Dental University Hospital (DUH)

The Dental University Hospital completes KSUMC’s three-hospital network. It provides dental education, clinical training, and patient care across a full range of dental specialties. It supports both undergraduate and postgraduate students while delivering real-world treatment to patients.
