Taibah University is a government university located in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. It sits in the first capital in the history of Islam and the source of the Prophet’s message. The university carries a bold vision: “From the Land of Light, We Shape the Future.”
Taibah University began as a branch of King Abdulaziz University in 1978. It became an independent university in 2003 through a Royal Decree. Since then, it has grown into one of the largest universities in the Kingdom.

Taibah University was the first university in Saudi Arabia where Computer Science and Engineering was a standalone college. It is also the first and only university in Medina with a college of medicine as of 2026.
